Francine Maté has been a steward for the Guild since the summer of 2002. In November 2003, she was appointed steward director for Copyright, OSI/ITS, ISS, the Librarian’s Office and the Law Library. Francine comes from a strong union family. Her father was a life-long member of the Electrical Worker’s Union and also a steward.

Dr. Maté is a registration specialist in Copyright Office, and she continues her organ, piano and harpsichord performing in her free time away from the Library.
