I have been a member of the Guild since coming to the Library in 1999 as an examiner in the Literary section of the Copyright Office. My interest in being a member and representative of the Guild stems from my late father’s work in labor relations and his experiences as union officer and labor activist. As we move into the 21st century, it is more important than ever to have a strong union and representatives who will work with management to continue to raise professional standards, and ensure that members have a voice in the decisions that affect their working lives.
