Charlynn Spencer Pyne joined the LC staff in 1987 as a collection development specialist at the National Library Service for the Blind & Physically Handicapped, after working as a reference librarian at the University of Maryland and Howard University. She has since worked in the Librarian’s Office, the Overseas Operations Division, the Center for the Book, and the Network Development and MARC Standards Office where she is currently employed.

A member of the Guild since 1989, Charlynn previously served as Member-at-Large for Affirmative Action.
